WHAT IS HELPING COPE THROUGH HOPE?

Helping Cope Through Hope is a non-profit, non-partisan, voluntary Christian Outreach Organization established on June 11, 2005. The name explains the areas of outreach in the countries of Peru and Uganda.

Helping C.O.P.E. ( C-Children O- Orphans P-Poor and Prisoners E-Exploited )
Through H.O.P.E. ( H-Healing O-Orphanages P-Provisions E-Education ).

The International Directors, Tom and Cheryl Martin have taught classes, worked with children and the poor in each of these countries for the last 18 years. They have lived in orphanages in each of these areas so have seen first hand the great need. This ministry has bought food and clothes for the poor, bought bicycles, paid school fees, held literacy and health classes and much more. Each year they plan to spend 6 to 8 weeks in each of these countries. They will be in Peru during October to November and Uganda in January to April.

After seeing the great need in these countries it is clear that the help of many people is needed to change the lives of hurting people.

Needs are virtually unlimited. People need homes, churches need to be built, adults and children need bicycles, children need school fees paid and school supplies, schools need books and equipment, people need medicine, people need help to provide nutritious food and clothes for their family. They need comfort and a caring presence.

We in this organization assure you that 100% of all designated money given will go to help in these countries with none going for administration, transportation, food or accommodation. If you would like to help financially, we know that many lives will be affected. There is a separate bank account for this organization and there is a 10 member Board of Directors. We also have tax-exempt status as a registered charity so we can issue tax receipts. Cheques can be made out to Helping COPE Through HOPE.
